"I saw on the library web site that you had read The Forgotten Garden. I did too. Just finished it in January and loved it. It is definitely going to be on my favorites list for 2010. I liked the dual time lines in the story. That reminded me of Possession by A. S. Byatt, which was also a wonderful story. It is set in the present and in the mid 1800's and is the story of a modern researcher and two English Victorian poets. Great romance and great stories inside of stories. The Pink Carnation series of books by Lauren Willig also do the dual time line thing and do it well. These books are not as serious as is Possession or Forgotten Garden (they are more light hearted romances) but I really enjoy them."
